Senator Bong Revilla and his Imus Productions are now set to remake an epic movie originally played by the King of Action, the late Fernando Poe Jr, Ang Panday. The movie is not new to the Senator. In fact, he already played Panday once in the movie, Dugo ng Panday where he even got the endorsement from the King of Action himself.
The juiciest twist in the production of Panday is the rumored "list of choices" to play as Bong Revilla's leading lady for the said movie. Some of the names floating are Regine Velasquez, Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista and Rhian Ramos. Some speculations are spreading that Rhian Ramos is gaining popularity among the production staffs of the movie and some say, even Mr. Senator himself after he watched the hit series, Lalola.
Out from the list are some names once mentioned by the production, it's Katrina Halili and Jennylyn Mercado. The two ladies are the top picks of Lani Mercado, wife of Bong. Ang Panday is set to roll over the cinemas on Christmas 2009 and the official entry of Imus Productions for 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.
