According to one of our sources, the planned switch was halted after GMA offered JC De Vera to be the prime actor in their series OBRA that will run for eight weeks, so that's a total of two months of nonstop JC De Vera topbilling all sorts of stories of OBRA.
Some speculations are also spreading that JC's decision to stay as a Kapuso is because of Rhian Ramos. As a matter of fact, one of our sources even mentioned Rhian's name as one of the actresses to play as JC's love team in OBRA. Maybe two or three episodes, wow! That's a lot. No doubt JC want to stay in GMA rather than to be paired with soap princess Judy Ann Santos.
So JC chose his heart over his career uplift! Love love love!
