Dubai, U.A.E. - Overseas Filipino workers, together with other nationality residing in Dubai were dismayed after the sudden concert cancellation of Youtube sensation Charice in the arab city last week. Overseas Filipino workers said they were disappointed when organizers cancelled the concert while they were already in line.
The concert was reportedly called off when organizers encountered problems with the budget and sponsors. Filipino concert-goers said most of them took a day off or did not report for work just to see the world-class singer perform. Charice meanwhile felt sad with what happened.
"Nagulat nga po ako nang malaman ko na hindi nga po tuloy. Syempre nanghinayang lang ako hindi dahil sa performance ko, kundi dahil sa mga Pilipino na super dami, na manonood," said Charice in her interview with ABS-CBN. The fans’ disappointment was eased a little when they personally saw Charice and had their pictures taken with her. ABS-CBN later clarified that they are not part or participated with the productions of the said cancelled concert.
