Hollywood, California - Kris Allen's modest rendition of Remember the Time for the Michael Jackson week was indeed one of the noticeable performances for the week. Placing below Adam Lambert's performance of course, Allen's guitar workout and flexing voice can really make him push to the top 5.
"You are very, very likeable" says Simon Cowell, who also mentioned Allen's wife is a big no-no. Kara says, "One thing is for sure - the girls loves you" which is obviously true. "You are engaging.. you are adorable and sexy." says dance icon Paula Abdul, and the most flattering for me, "Kinda cool in a way for me - very 'Jason Mrazy'" says Randy Jackson, connecting Kris Allen's performance to Jason Mraz, the prince of pop-instrumental songs for now.
Kris Allen is a native of Conway, Arkansas, a newly wed boy next door type, auditioned on Idol 8 with the song "A song for you" original from Leon Russel, was his big ticket to Hollywood. Can he stumble down Lambert's "David Cookish" style and manage to outnumber the votes of Anoop Desai's "hype" stand on the competition?
