Hollywood - Gossip Girl guy Chace Crawford is one step closer in grabbing the Kevin Bacon's original Footloose role according to E Online. It was previously reported that The Covenant hunk auditioned for the character role that was originally offered to High School Musical alum Zac Efron.
According to E's source, Chace Crawford is now in negotiation table with the producers of the said 80's dance musical remake, "They are trying to make it work and it's looking good," says their source.
Let's see if Chace will kick off those Sunday shoes and will star his first flick lead role soon. For now, Chace is busy working on his new idol drama entitled "Twelve", Directed by Joel Schumacher with co-stars Kiefer Sutherland, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Ellen Barkin and 50 Cent.
