Los Angeles, California - Rockstar Phil Spector was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of an actress at his mansion in 2003 after a night of drinking, the New York Times reported. The verdict came more than six years after the actress, Lana Clarkson, 40, was found shot to death in the foyer of Mr. Spector’s mansion in suburban Alhambra on Feb. 3, 2003.
Spector, who's behind the hit songs “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feeling” and “Be My Baby,” will face a possible 25 years to life in prison. New York Times added that the jury reached its decision after deliberating whether one of the recording industry’s best-known producers shot the woman in a fit of anger or, as his lawyers argued, merely witnessed the woman’s suicide. Reuters added that Shortly before Clarkson was shot, Spector told British journalist Mick Brown in a rare interview that he had a bipolar personality and had "devils that fight inside me." In 2006, he quietly wed for the fourth time, marrying model/actress Rachelle Short who is about 30 years his junior.
