E News is reporting that rumors claiming that Robert Pattinson snatched the role of Spider-Man from Tobey Maguire is not true (as of today). According to E, there is "no such deal has been struck." Months ago when blogs and news sites ran an article, claiming that that Robert Pattinson will play the role of the popular web hero in the re-boot of the the Marvel franchise The re-boot means: Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Director Sam Raimi are ALL OUT of the story. E News' report added that Sony declined to comment regarding the issue. But, E News' insider said: "Casting will only begin after a director is chosen. That has not happened yet. Sounds more like an optimistic float by a manager or agent who has nothing to lose by throwing a name into the mix."
In related news, Kristen Stewart's rumored boyfriend Robert Pattinson will have a busy schedule next month. The British star - who plays the role of Edward Cullen in 'Twilight' - will be working with his new film 'Bel Ami' in February with co-star Uma Thurman. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson's co-star and rumored GF Kristen Stewart is set to promote her new film 'The Runaways', that will hit the cinemas on March 19, 2010.
