Pop sensation Christina Aguilera has chosen not to push through with her summer concert tour due to time constraints.


Oh, okay! I hope the reason is not Lady GaGa!

The American pop singer has discontinued plans for a summer concert tour on Monday, due to the lack of time available in juggling all her engagements, according to her. But wait, I want you all to check out Huffington Post's report. They wrote:

"Could poor ticket sales be the real reason?

'Not Myself Tonight,' the first single off Christina's new album, charted at a disappointing 23. The video for the song (scroll down to watch) was widely panned and regarded as an oversexed Gaga ripoff."

Hmm, no comment, haha!

Anyway, Aguilera is set to make her appearance in a new movie entitled 'Burlesque,' which will open in theaters sometime this year. She's also busy promoting her 'Bionic' album, to be released on June 8.

According to her camp: Due to her hectic schedule, the 29-year-old singer feels that a lot more time is required to rehearse the show with less than a month remaining between the album release and tour date.

With this scenario, announcements will be made later this year concerning new concert dates.

Aguilera rose to fame in the late 1990's and the start of the millenium, with 'I Turn to You,' 'Genie in a Bottle' and 'What a Girl Wants.' And she doens't lipsynch. Yet recent years had also proved stiff competition for the star with fresh threats such as Katy Perry and Lady GaGa.

'Bionic' will be her fresh new album since 'Back to Basics' in 2006.
