In recent reports, obesity rate is up by 25% in 28 states. Eight states have rates above 30% even! And the rate of childhood obesity is increasing even more. The survey also showed that parents of obese children believe that their kids were healthy. (Being overly-cuddly isn't cute and it isn't healthy!)

Moreover, 10 of the 11 states with obesity numbers were from the south, and Mississippi leads the south for 6 years running. Wake-up call - again!

The obesity rate was higher in black and hispanic Americans that in whites. They also found out that income was indirectly proportionally to weight - that is, the less money you make, the more pounds they more likely have put in.

On the other hand, the Northeastern and Western states have the lowest obesity rates.

Although treating obesity is a community effort, one should always remember that weight loss starts in your mind. Build that determination and discipline, then follow your regimen strictly and consistently.
