Could you just imagine what caffeine could do to mice?

Scientists do that. All the time. But in this instance, giving mice high doses of caffeine would have them exhibit increased muscle power and endurance. This is according to researchers from Coventry University.


The study tested muscle use in maximal and sub-maximal levels by about 6%. Maximal is when you sprint or lift weights, while sub-maximal would mean everyday activity and sports at lower intensities.


Now imagine what this can do to a human athlete. And since caffeine is not currently listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency as a banned substance, then there's your alternative to whatever dope you might be scheming on during your competition. (Cheater!)
