Sassyqarla.com recently read an article from Sarah Fuss. An in-house blogger of Yahoo.com in Food category. She made a study (or should we say a food trip) on the Best Fastfood French Fries in US market based on their calorie content and trans fat. Well, these are the stats you need to know if you are on a diet. If you ask me, well, I don't care! LOL

List of Fastfood with their Fries:

-Arby's Curly Fries
-Burger King's French Fries
-Carl's Jr.'s Natural-Cut Fries
-Dairy Queen's French Fries
-Jack in the Box's Natural Cut Fries
-McDonald's French Fries
-Wendy's French Fries

Okay, four out of the total fastfoods in the list is available in the Philippines namely Burger King, Carl's JR, Mc Donald's and Wendy's. We are not sure if Carl's JR are still in PH market. But I tried eating their fries! And it taste so f-kng good! Anyway, according to Fuss' study, here are the fries you need to check for calories:

The Best:
Dairy Queen wins with 2.69 calories/gram
Jack in the Box is close behind with 2.71 calories/gram

The Worst:
McDonald's it is, with 3.25 calories/gram

Those stats may sound like just a few calories' difference, but that's a 21% difference, which adds up since a large serving tends to be around 190 grams.

Okay, let's go to the trans-fat area. For those of you who are not familiar with trans-fat, I cannot help you because, I'm not too... Lol.

Here's the zero trans fat team:
Burger King
Carl's Jr.
Dairy Queen
McDonald's
Wendy's

This one is the trans fattiest:
Jack in the Box

When it comes to the saturated-fat, which is... I'm not still familiar,

The Best
Dairy Queen (0.018g saturated fat/gram of fries)

The Worst
Arby's (0.037g saturated fat/gram of fries)

Okay, so for those "oh so bratinella conscious people", follow this guide for your dream of becoming the next anorexic beauty.
