Quezon City, Philippines - Aljur Abrenica is indeed the "must-watch" actor for the year 2009 as he covers most of the media portals after making a big debut in an afternoon series of GMA Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin.
Recently when Abrenica was named as the Most Promising Male Star by Gulliermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc. According to Entertainment website PEP, the young hunk of GMA Network admits that he's unaware of the award giving body, so he researched and realized that being chosen is a big honor.
"Ang masasabi ko lang, napaka-thankful ko sa binibigay sa 'kin ni Lord. Kasi sunud-sunod yung blessings, e. Wala talaga 'ko masabi, and salamat. Salamat sa mga nagdesisyon." says Aljur in his PEP interview. Abrenica also admits skipping basketball and DOTA because of his new series Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin. Abrenica must say bye-bye on his boy next door routine.
Aljur also revealed his Holy week plans, "Nag-plan ako na sana... Gusto ko lang dalhin yung mga kapatid ko sa Disneyland, e. Sa bagay, hindi pa din naman ako nakakarating dun. Pero baka magba-Batangas City na lang kami." he said.
