Jasmine Murray
Her rendition of I'll Be There, a Michael Jackson original failed to keep her going on American Idol Season 8.

What's more 'hurting' with the elimination is the new twist on the reality show where judges got the chance to save a 'bottom' idol hopeful that can give him/her a chance to move onto the competition. But Randy Jackson, one of the judges spoke, and decided to fully eliminate Jasmine Murray, "Its not gonna work baby, sorry" says Jackson.

A native of Starkville, Mississippi. She is best known for being a finalist on American Idol 8, and also competed in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant in 2007.

The same can be said for 20-year-old college student Jorge Nunez, who had been slammed for his performance of "Never Can Say Goodbye".

Eleven finalists remain in the competition including Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds, Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Matt Giraud, Megan Corkrey, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre.
