Los Angeles, California - Manny Pacquiao finally issues his apology statement after the controversy exploded regarding his media contract. In 24 Oras yesterday, Pacquiao was spotted talking with a wireless phone. Pacquiao admits he negotiated with ABS-CBN. Surprisingly, he blames ABS-CBN lawyer as the 'culprit' behind the explosive video aired last March 18, 2009 in TV Patrol World.
"Yung mga statement na yun. Actually, hindi naman ako ang mga gumawa non, yung abogado ng ABS [ABS-CBN] eh. Sila din ang nagturo sa akin. At saka, sila ang mag idea nun na ganun ang sasabihin ko. Saka yung ipapalabas yung video na kinunan namin, kung may breach of contract talaga na mapatunayan." says Manny. “Sabi ko sa kanila huwag muna kami gumawa ng video pero sabi nila ‘gumawa na tayo pero itatago muna namin" Manny added.
Solar Entertainment also added that Manny Pacquiao was enlighted after the 2-hour closed door meeting. "I think Manny finally saw what's right. He was in training, hard in training and people tried to distract him eh." says William Tieng, Chairman of Solar Entertainment. Even before the airing of Pacquiao's apology video, ABS-CBN released their official statement saying that they respect Pacquiao's decision even if the People's champ signed a contract with them.
