Quezon City, Philippines - Certified Horror Blockbuster Director Chito Rono will try to get some ticket sales and will try to change the style of scaring people with his new flick, Tenement 2 or T2. The movie is topbilled by the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, with Angelika Dela Cruz young sisterette Mica Dela Cruz.
The story of T2 evolves with the spooksters played by the Engkantos, a Filipino version of fairies. “T2 is a serious horror-drama tungkol sa engkwentro ng mga tao sa Engkanto,” says Chito Rono. “Usually pag sinasabi nating Engkanto sa mga pelikula kalimitan or almost every movie that I've seen is very fantasy. For the first time siguro, Star Cinema brings to the Filipino audience yung actual naming na research, based sa mga nagkaroon ng claims ng engkanto or experience." he added.
Frankly, this movie is a big gamble for Star Cinema knowing that Filipinos are stock with the knowledge that an Engkanto is not as scary as the ghost or Sadako. We also noticed that Engkantos here talks and producing squirks, scary! One more thing, Chito Rono loves to use "child voices" in his horror movies. I wonder why, its not scary, its cute!
