Quezon City, Philippines - After admitting his "mistakes", Hong Kong, China based columnist and former BBC reporter Chip Tsao finally says SORRY, and approached the Philippine authorities in China Wednesday night, according to GMA News.
Chip Tsao, who wrote the article "The War at Home", and tagged the Philippines as "A Nation of Servants" admits that his article crossed the line. "Mr. Chip Tsao went to the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong last night and conveyed to consulate officials and Filipino community leaders his ‘most sincere apologies for the offense he had caused'." says Eduardo Malaya, DFA spokesperson.
According to GMA News, Tsao even apologized on National television, "I’m now aware that I’ve crossed the line and I offer my public apology," he said. GMA added that Tsao says he never intended to demean any person or any group.
