Quezon City, Philippines - Former first lady Imelda Marcos has landed in a list of “greediest people of all time” by Newsweek magazine. Note, they said its ALL TIME.
According to Newsweek, Imelda saw it as her duty to provide "some kind of light, a star" for the impoverished people. Imelda was the wife of late President Ferdinand Marcos, the only dictator President of the Philippines. The magazine added, Mrs. Marcos took $5 Million shopping sprees to New York and Rome. They also cited her collections of gems and 3 thousand pairs of shoes.
Joining the list are some known dead world icons like Genghis Khan, Marcus Crassus, Pope Sixtus the fourth, William Vandervilt, William Tweed, Empress Dowager Cixi and Charles Ponzi. Some living personalities that is also included in the list are Bernard Mardoff, with the biggest fraud ever says Newsweek totaling to 50 Billion Dollars [are you kidding me?], and the $200 Million Dollars arbitrageur Ivan Boesky.
