Quezon City, Philippines - The Philippines' top entertainment site PEP issues an article saying that they are ready to face a possible case to be filed by Annabelle Rama next week. Recently when Richard Gutierrez was ambushed by the entertainment reporters to get his reactions after the apology of PEP's EIC Jo-Ann Maglipon in connection with "fake" report released by their website.
"Inadvertent uploading" was the reason Maglipon apologizes for. "Pinanghawakan ni Ms. Maglipon ang naging salita ni Annabelle na kapag naibigay na nila ang public apology sa mismong website ng PEP at pagharap niya sa TV, hindi na magsasampa ng demanda si Annabelle." says PEP. "'Hindi masaya' si Annabelle sa apology na ginawa ni Ms. Maglipon dahil wala namang retraction sa isyu na naganap." they added, in their April 2, 2009 article written by Rose Garcia.
Richard Gutierrez says he might file a case against PEP because Maglipon failed to do a contraction to their site's report. "But, PEP cannot apologize for something na hindi nila ginawa. Hindi imbento ang istorya kaya we cannot apologize in the manner na gusto ni Ms. Rama, hindi pwedeng sabihin na basta hindi nangyari ang insidente. Nagkulang lang naman kasi ang PEP doon sa biglaang pag-a-upload," says Atty. Coronel, lawyer of the website.
