California - So we are now down to two finalist! Danny Gokey booted-off after receiving the least number of votes on last week's American Idol Season 8's final three week. Danny is a crowd favorite, so it's a bit surprising (for me).
Meanwhile, Kris Allen proved that his "wife" is not a big issue after advancing to the finale. Kris, an Arkansas native tied the knot months before joining American Idol. Kris' friends expressed their support, trying to "kill" the hype of Adam, "I'm pretty confident in what Kris has to bring next week, and it will be a good battle, but I think Kris will pull it out," says JP Davenport, one of closest friends of Kris Allen in her MTV News interview. "He has some stuff up his sleeve, and I really think he will bring it home. Coming off of 'Heartless,' he's got new fans now who weren't fans all season. People are seeing that side of Kris and are interested now and want to see what he has next. A lot more people will be voting for Kris this week." she added.
Celebs are to the rescue for Adam. On last week's elimination night, singer Katy Perry showed her support to Adam using the cape of her costume. MTV's "Hills" character Audrina Patridge also expressed her support to the San Diego native, "I actually was at 'American Idol' [on Tuesday night] and went to dinner with Adam after," she said. "And I think he's gonna win!" she added.
