Brittany Murphy's bedroom contained ten types of prescription drugs, Bang Showbiz is reporting. The report claims that a collection of medication and empty pill bottles - including tablets to treat depression and anxiety, have allegedly been confiscated by an officer from the Los Angeles County Coroner's department who is investigating Brittany Murphy's death. Brittany Murphy was found dead in the shower on Sunday, December 20, 2009.
The confiscated drugs were in Brittany Murphy's name, her husband Simon Monjack's, her mother Sharon's and other "unidentified third party names". Some of the drugs that were confiscated - anxiety pills, painkillers and antibiotic tablets Biaxin. There was also a packet of Propranolol; for hypertension and to prevent heart attacks, anti-seizure medication Topamax, anti-inflammatory treatment Methylprednisolone, depression medication Fluoxetine and several different vitamins.
Toxicology expert Dr. Bruce Goldberger - Professor and Director of Toxicology at the University Of Florida College Of Medicine - is confirming that a mixture of these medicines could have resulted in an accidental overdose. Dr. Goldberger said: "Absolutely, mixing a number of these drugs could have resulted in her (Brittany Murphy) death. At the moment it is pointing towards an overdose or at least that will have to be ruled out by the autopsy or toxicology results." Photo: Fame Pictures
