Brett Michaels, ex Poison Frontman, is hospitalized for brain hemorrhage and remains under intense observation.

According to Michael's rep who told MTV news, the 47-year-old rocker and previous 'Celebrity Apprentice' contestant was rushed to the hospital on a late Thursday evening, where doctors findings revealed that he had suffered a massive brain hemorrhage.

And although TMZ reports that Michael's condition is somewhat stabilized, being conscious and in good spirits, the next 24 to 48 hours prove critical for the star, and will closely be monitored by staff of some unidentified hospital.

Sources told People that doctors have decided to keep the rock star in the ICU after several CAT scans, MRIs and angiogram, aside from several ongoing tests to be able to define the exact cause of the hemorrhage. So the following days, Michaels would be subject to strict observation.

"They told me that if I had gone onstage like I wanted to, [my appendix] likely would have ruptured and I could have died," Michaels told his fans thru his blog.
