Justin Bieber has his stint cut short by cops in the land down under due to hysterical fans.

Canadian singer Beiber, known for the gold certified single 'Baby' had several fans in mayhem, forcing authorities to pull the plug during his promotional visit to Australia.

The news had spread across the land down under like some disease, when Bieber caused a great multitude of fans to overcrowd Sydney's Circular Quay in front of the Overseas Terminal, with the situation threatening to get out of control.

Police eventually intervened, but not after a number of onlookers were injured and eight fans hospitalized. Beiber was meant to sing three songs for the free-to-air Channel Seven's 'Sunrise' program early but was immediately put to a standstill by police for safety reasons.

Authorities ruled out parents as being hugely responsible for the incident, explaining that they should have been present, especially at early hours in the morning where you would have like, '12, 13-14 year olds crushed up against the barrier.'

The pitfalls of fame, or obsessed fans?
