Oprah Winfrey, queen of talk shows wasted no time in expressing her sentiments about Kitty Kelley's controversial book on her.

Winfrey, who ridiculed Kelley's masterpiece, referring to it as a 'so-called biography,' spoke publicly at the New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards, where she also presented an award to close pal Gayle King.

The reigning queen of talk took centre stage, skipping the red carpet and hurled her overdue response toward's Kelly's book, which comprised of reports surrounding the diva's claims of being sexually molested as a child and constant drug abuse.

In her speech, Winfrey described her pal King, as a friend who 'sometimes cares more about my life than i do,' further adding that the past week was a tough one for her friend when a 'so-called biography' came out. Along with presenting her long time confidante the award, Winfrey gave thanks as well for having been taught what true love really is.

Winfrey flashed a smile, ending her speech with, 'This too shall pass,' in front of a loud applause from the audience.
