Zac Efron of 'High School Musical' movies will shed off a little of that teen heartthrob image to portray his most challenging role to date, a cocaine smuggler. That's exciting isn't it?

Zac, 22, who is scheduled to star in a popular remake of a Swedish thriller 'Snabba Cash,' will assume the character of a young man who hopes to strike it rich quickly by becoming a runner for a coke dealer in the world of organized crime.

'Snabba,' based on a novel by Jens Lapidus became a box office this year back in its home country, Sweden. The film follows 3 interconnected storylines revolving around drugs and organized crime and became the subject of heavy Hollywood bidding before ending up with Warner Brothers.

If you recall, Zac previously starred in the movie '17 again.' Remember the report that Zac turned down the  offer to play the remake role of Kevin Bacon's Footloose? Now it's clear, Zac wants to do a more mature role.
