Antonio Banderas will be reprising his role, or rather, lending his voice again to his feline alter ego,in the fourth 'Shrek.'

Banderas, Spanish sensation, is back once again as the voice of Puss in Boots, in 'Shrek Forever After.'

The Zorro-like cat, which has been patterned after the Spanish star's humanly heroic character with the mask, made its debut in the second sequel of the animated franchise and has gained considerable popularity.

This has led to a title role for the masked feline in a seperate movie, which is due to hit theatres in 2012. Banderas has already lent his services to the film along with Mexican hottie Salma Hayek.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Banderas has mentioned that Puss has given the Spanish actor an opportunity to laugh at himself, most of all laugh about the great characters he's played who are bigger than life. This would include 'El Zorro,' 'Desperado' and 'The 13th Warrior,' all heroic stories which he has depicted major characters.

The cat is therapeutic in a way to Banderas, and likes the feline a lot.

Let's see Zorro and Puss in a swordfight, shall we?
