The bat signal! Bruce Wayne heads for the batcave, but not until 2012.

After the phenomenal success of 2005's 'Batman Begins' and the even bigger 2008 hit, 'The Dark Knight,' raking in a whopping global box office sales of $1 billion, The third sequel will make its debut on July 20, 2012, according to Warner Bros.

Director Christopher Nolan stepped up to the bat task, where Tim Burton had left off, and breathed mammoth life to the caped crusader,also garnering late actor Heath Ledger an Oscar for the best portrayal ever of Batman's popular nemesis, The Joker.

Christian Bale donned the batsuit for the first two sequels, giving the hero his dark and serious character.

Previously, actors Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney had lent their crime fighting services to Gotham city.

To date, no other details had been disclosed regarding the project.

I do hope they give the batmobile a brand new look minus the over inflated wheels.
