Indestructible rocker Bret Michaels deserves a fresh start on life, and love as well.

The Poison frontman - who's escaped the fierce tentacles of death since being hospitalized last month for brain hemorrhage and several complications - has restructured his outlook on life, giving priority to family.

According to People.com, Michaels couldn't hide his feelings of gratitude, saying that he was given a second chance despite the painful experience he's been through. "There's just so much more I want to do and experience," shares the rocker.

And this 'second lease' is just what Michaels needed to start taking things a bit more seriously, things that matter a lot.

And number one on this list of priorities involves walking his on-and-off girlfriend Kristi Gibson down that aisle. Gibson also happens to be the mother of his two daughters, Raine, 9, and Jorja, 5.

Says Michaels, "Getting married, for sure, is something I have never done. Kristi's such a great person. We'll see if that happens. But yes, that may be one of the big things on the list."

The rockstar also owes it to Gibson for bringing him over the emergeny room after a severe brain hemmorhage struck him on last April 22, at home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He describes the sensation as 'sounding like a handgun,' like it literally popped.

Michaels was aware that he was slurring his words and was like, "Ok, this isn't a headache. There's something really bad happening," he confesses.

Dr. Josesph Zabramski, chief of cerebrovascular surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute, expects a full recovery for the rocker who's been recently discharged from the hospital.

His goals right now after wrestling with adversity, includes getting back into 100 percent form, continue rocking the world, and to continue loving his family and being a good father.

Amen!
