Abby Sunderland, 16, ran into trouble on Thursday afternoon. She signaled emergency beacon locating devices after losing contact over satellite phone.
According to reports, French fishing ship the Ile De La Reuinion rescued Abby 7:45 PM AEST, 2,000 nautical miles off Australia.
