First shots of the initial steps of the $1.7 million renovation Madonna is taking on her Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York City, New York home. The queen of pop is putting the abode through quite a transformation as it will soon include, 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, an entire floor made up of a gym, a wine cellar, a hair salon, an elevator and a two car garage. After it is all said an done, the Georgian style mansion will certainly be an urban oasis for Madonna, however while it's under construction, it certainly hasn't turned the neighborhood into a sanctuary. In fact, the neighbors aren't happy about the constant flow of construction trucks that have turned the residential street into a loud.

General McChrystal Offers Resignation?

Speaking of upset, looks like General McChrystal is into avoiding controversies. 


After the Rolling Stone report surfaced on the internet and in print on June 25, the commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan has reportedly offered US President Obama his resignation. 


According to a source of Time's Newsfeed, the general "has already made the offer to step down, leaving the ultimate decision to the president."


Obama: "Yes we can!"
