'American Pie' star Mena Suvari weds concert producer Simone Sestito in a private church in Vatican City, Italy, on Saturday.
The 31-year-old actress and Sestito, 25, who have been going out for almost three years, first crossed each other's paths back in 2007 at the Toronto Film Festival. Suvari also gave previous hints of a romantic ceremony, prior to the once-in-a-lifetime grand event.
The sweet pair had chosen Rome for their wedding location because of its romantic atmosphere, besides the fact that Sestito's relatives were residing just nearby.
A guest at the wedding told People that the ceremony was truly unique, and that Mena was breathtaking. "They are very much in love," the guest added.
Suvari walked down the aisle, sporting a gown designed by close pal Stacey Bendet, owner of Alicia + Olivia.
Says the actress of her new hubby, "I love him. He's Italian and my family is part Greek, and it's all about family and culture..I love his family and it just inspires me to live that kind of life." Sniff. Tissue please!
