The late king of pop's former physician will stop at nothing to prevent his license from being revoked.
Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's doctor, will battle it out in court today to keep his California medical license at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Murray, who has been charged with involuntary manslaughter stemming from the pop star's death last year, is facing the grim possibilities of his license being stripped from him, no thanks to California's attorney general Jerry Brown, who is vying for a fourth attempt to make that happen to the doctor.
However, Conrad's lawyer cries foul in defense of his client, filing papers disputing that prosecutors were simply taking the same motion before a different judge, in which there are no changed circumstances, according to Associated Press. Keith Schwartz, who was a previous judge in the case, did not suspend the doctor's license even though he prohibited him from administering anesthetics.
Conrad's case is now in the hands of Judge Michael Pastor.
