'Karate Kid' remake stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith arrive at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, California on JUne 6, 2010.
Jackie Chan told Chicago Tribune: "I never thought I would make "Karate Kid," and one day Will Smith called me and says, "Jackie and the movie, Karate Kid." I said yes. I don't think you can compare the two movies; they're totally different. Of course, the audience probably thinks they're related but they're not. I'm not Miyagi, I'm Jackie Chan, but I respect Miyagi."
