According to earlier reports, Dr Phyliss - who wants to have her very own "teacher show", outnumbered the votes of Zach Anner in a span of 20 minutes. A lot of websites and small blogs posted their own versions of the story, which includes the powerhouse Huffington Post.
According to the site, which quoted SF Chronicle's report, a group of spam blogs swere put together, possibly based in Marietta, GA, to "upset the normal order of search trends."
Search trends means Google Trends, the big G's service to rank search terms used by the users. And like what happened last month, the search term "Oprah Hates Disabled People", was again on the top, beating Justin Smoak, and Blake Beaven.
According to Oprah's Own Network site, the voting ended July 3rd, and added that "someone's life will soon change forever."
However, Oprah's Own Network website clarified that "all videos are reviewed by our moderators to ensure compliance with the Participation Terms prior to the videos being posted."
