Comedy Queen and certified crowd drawer Ai Ai Delas Alas recently made strong words against the rules and regulations of some award giving bodies regarding the criteria of becoming the Box Office Queen! She emphasized the confusing rule of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation who gives the prestigious Box Office Award every year.
The award giving body reportedly has an "unfair ruling" over the movies from Metro Manila Film Festival. They only count the gross of MMFF movies for five days. An MMFF movie entry is shown every Christmas Day so their count is only from December 25 up to the 31 and not including the gross of January 1 onwards. So they will award the prestigious title to Sarah Geronimo and her movie because it ran it's whole three weeks in the year 2008. Where in fact, the gross of the latest Ai Ai's movie, Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat already outnumbered the total gross of the recent Sarah Geronimo's movie, A Very Special Love!
Ai Ai insists that she has no personal issue with Sarah. She even calls Sarah as her Anak Anakan, but she stand by her principle that the said GMMF ruling must be revised and must give fair implementation on all movies shown in 2008.
