What happened to originality, buddy?

It's off to court to Kanye West for allegedly fishing out someone else's ideas for his 2007 single 'Stronger.'

According to Aceshowbiz.com, a not-so-popular songwriter has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the rapper/producer, who is accused of copying a huge portion of his composition, also entitled 'Stronger,' claiming that it was written back in 2006.

Vincent 'Vince P' Peters further adds that he handed a copy of the song to music manager John Monopoly, who also happens to be a business associate of West's at his home in Chicago, Illinois, in November 2006.

A few months later, Peters was in for a shock when he heard the rapper's version of his original song, was getting radio airplay. And from then on, West's 'Stronger' was a bigtime hit, selling over three million units, as well as becoming the 16th most downloaded song of all time, discloses the iTunes music download service. That sure is raw talent. How does he do that behind his back? Amazing!

'Vince P' is seeking damages and a trial by jury, after filing suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on June 25, Friday.

Got anymore ideas left, Kanye? Or do you need to borrow them from someone else?
