Just when moolah matters were over for Michael Douglas, having shelled out a jaw-dropping $45 million as mandated by his divorce settlement in 2000, those big dollar signs pop up once again in his ex wife's eyes. Ka-ching!
According to the New York Post, former Mrs. Douglas would be raking in the green if everything materializes with the 65-year old actor's negotiations of an upcoming 'Wall Street' sequel entitled 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.' And Mr. Douglas won't be getting any sleep, either.
Diandra Douglas' legal advisers claim that the original settlement not only entitled their client a juicy cut from the films her ex-hubby made while they were together, but also including future spin-offs.
But not so fast folks, because Michael believes otherwise. (that's his pockets we're talking about!) The actor's attorney, Marilyn Chinitz, contested that the movie is in fact a sequel, and not a spin-off, during a debate before a judge last week.
A lot of ex-wives have made a mega fortune in Tinseltown lately. It's good I turned down those acting offers. Okay, okay, don't give me the looks, people!
