Quezon City, Philippines - Carla Abellana is one of the "must-watch" newcomer as she is set to top bill the Philippine remake of a Mexican hit Rosalinda.
In her exclusive interview with Showbiz Central, Carla shared her most memorable experiences in preparing for the role that once played by the Mexican superstar, Thalia. "Its exciting and its a good opportunity kasi lahat dun learning experiences eh and a chance to really learn and adjust. Nakakatuwa, exciting siya and may konting hirap and pressure, but okay naman." says Carla. She's doing a workshop under the top Philippine Director, Joel lamangan.
Carla added, "Its the first project that I have in GMA, and we're doing our best to really prepare for that, not just for Rosalinda but for acting also." Miss Abelana also smack some of the activities she trained for her preparation, "Acting, and then may singing siyempre si Rosalinda is a singer. May konting dancing din." Carla also hopes for a good outcome of Rosalinda like what happened to Marian Rivera's Marimar. "Pressure siya, kasi unang una, bago ako eh. I have yet to learn, and andaming kailangang matutunan. Hopefully, I'll do it my way and hopefully maging hit din siya like Marimar."
The biggest mystery that is yet to be revealed is the actor that will play the role of Fernando Jose, Rosalinda's love interest. Carla insists she's also clueless, "Wala pa, hindi ko pa talaga alam. So exciting, until now hindi ko pa alam kung sino yung leading man."
