Quezon City, Philippines - RESPECT is the word that surfaces Joey De Leon's statements against Yes Magazine's list. Joey De Leon was hailed as the "10th Most Powerful Showbiz Personality".
"You cannot equate power with respect, totoo yon. Kaya sakin, okay lang. No thanks." says Joey De Leon last week in Startalk. De Leon was very vocal that he is dissatisfied with the Magazine's newest "pakulo" for their 9th Anniversary issue. Even the "Most Powerful" Willie Revillame is not into the weird list, "Most Powerful in the sense of what?" says Willie in his exclusive interview with SNN last week.
The list was also the 'culprit' of the Sarah Geronimo's low talent fee issue after they revealed the untold story behind Sarah Geronimo's earnings after doing two flicks with Viva and Star Cinema. Joey De Leon added, he's not questioning Yes and its list, "Wala akong kinukuwestiyon eh. Problema nila yun. Sila yung nag rating niyan, kaya sakin wala yun. Kaya lang, tinatanong ko lang at sagutin nila, ano ba yung criteria niyo talaga sa pagpili ng 'powerful', ako nga nahihiya kasama dun eh." says Joey. "Ewan ko, bahala sila. Kaya nga tinatanong ko kung anu-ano [criterias], powerful ka kasi nirerespeto ka ng mga tao, ng mga nakakarami? Dahil ikaw ay, may nagawa nang kabutihan? Wala kang bahid ng panloloko sa kapwa? O ikaw ay powerful lang dahil andami sayong naghahanap ng trabaho? O lumuluhod sayo, humihingi ng tulong, o anu ba?" Joey added.
