Los Angeles, California - A proud Filipina and certified Hollywood Jr. star, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle is one of the cast members of "Fame", an upcoming musical film remake. Anna Maria is the granddaughter of the Filipino singer Sylvia La Torre. She became popular after joining the hit Disney series Hannah Montana top billed by Miley Cyrus.
Anyway, the remake of "Fame" is set to be released in September this year, they say it will be the next Highschool Musical. Anna Maria will play the role of Joy Moy. Other cast members includes Naturi Naughton, Collins Pennie, Kay Panabakar and Asher Book. The story of "Fame" is about a group of students studying at New York High School of Performing Arts (which later merged with the High School of Music and Art to become the current Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts). The film is split into sections corresponding to auditions, freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years.
