Quezon City, Philippines - GMA Network's weekend showbiz oriented show Showbiz Central visits the house of GMA's next big star, Carla Abellana. A very sweet and simple Carla welcomes the show. Showbiz Central aims to give the public more information about the next Thalia soap starrer.

A "geeky" Carla was described, Showbiz Central revealed that Carla spent most of her growing up years focusing on her studies. "Although my Father and grandma are celebrities before, pinalaki talaga kasi nila kami to focus on our studies. So never namin na consider na mag enter sa showbiz kasi yun ang palaging focus eh. Pinu push nila kami na 'oh hindi ah, hindi, walang showbiz', mag aral lang kayo and mag tapos kayo." says Carla with a smile.

But she can't escape the call of showbiz world, and she revealed starting in showbiz as a commercial model. "I started kasi when I was in 12 years old. Then nag stop ako, then I continued when I was in 15. Even since I was 15 years old, I do commercials. Hanggang dun lang, buti nga pinapayagan kami." she revealed.

A Cum Laude of AB Psychology in De La Salle University, Carla is now ready to enter showbiz after finishing her studies. A lot of fans are saying that she looks like Marian Rivera, but look closely, she gets more resemblance with actress, Isabel Granada. For sure, Carla will be the next big star.
