Quezon City, Philippines - Surprise, surprise and a big surprise for the two giant networks as a show from the neophyte network TV 5 makes it to the top ten shows for primetime in Mega Manila according to the credible TNS Television ratings for weekend.
Last March 27, 2009, Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin grabs the top spot for daytime block after getting 26.4%, Paano Ba ang Mangarap lands to number 2 with 24.3%. Wowowee beats Eat Bulaga after landing to number 3 with 20.2%. For the Primetime game, Robin Padilla's Totoy Bato rules the race with 36.1%, Zorro maintains its tailing after landing to 2nd spot with 33.9%. May Bukas Pa maintains its standing as the top rated Kapamilya series after landing to number 3 with 30.1%.
For Saturday's daytime race, Eat Bulaga grabs the top spot with 21.9%, followed by Wowowee with 18.4%. Wishes granted as Wish Ko Lang lands to Number 3 with 14.3%. For the Primetime block, Jessica Soho gets the First place with a 29%. Bitoy's Funny Videos landed second with 25.1%. Maalaala Mo Kaya stays strong at number 3 with 24.1%. And for the first time, TV 5's Talentadong Pinoy landed 9th after getting 14%. A little low ratings are visible with the March 28 primetime compared to previous results.
For March 29, 2009 Daytime block, SOP and ASAP ties to number 1 with 14.6%, followed by Joey De Leon's new show, Quirky World with 12.3%. Your Song's Underage landed third with 12.1%. For the Primetime bout, GMA Network's shows fell! Rated K bagged the first spot with 24.1%, followed by The Singing Bee with 22.2%. Finishing third are Mel and Joey's show with 21.1%.
