The troubled actress has recently been given the boot from the movie 'The Other Side' after the film's financers feared that she wasn't box office material anymore.

Yet according to reports from anchor Lara Spencer on 'The Early Show', Lohan's problems extend beyond her star value. And it's specifically this that has got father Michael worried sick. Her infinite, prescription pills addiction.

In fact Michael's lawyer says that the concerned father is trying to come up with suitable means on how he can gain legal control over his daughter's affairs, and help her overcome these personal battles.

Sources had informed Lara Spencer that close friends of Lindsay had witnessed the actress taking prescription pills at an alarming 20 minutes, and that she's completely denied such allegations about her troubles.

And to add to that, the actress is reportedly rock bottom in her credit card debt, amounting to a whopping $600,000, to which mother Dina Lohan is covering up for her daughter's woes, insisting she's fine.

But here's a display of fatherly affection, because Michael's completely aware of the real deal, and feels that it takes tough love to straighten out his kid and will never forgive himself is something worse happens to her.

Someone should tell mommy to quit sugarcoating.
