Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao went from absolute zero to colossal hero through blood, sweat and tears. He's a name that undoubtedly defines the boxing world, earning himself legions of followers across the globe. Followers who aren't just your average joe.

Exactly. Whether the 'Filipino Pride' likes it or not, the spotlight owns him, a larger than life mega star, and even other popular celebrities can attest to that.

Take one of Pacman's sparring sessions with Freddie Roach at the Wildcard gym in Las Vegas not so long ago. Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg paid a surprise visit and watched from the sides. the former rapper turned actor had been a constant spectator and is a huge fan of the pound-for-pound king.

'I'm a big Pacquiao fan,' says Wahlberg. I've seen him fight a couple of times and worth it seeing him in person.' Moments later, the Pacman granted the actor's request of them photographed together.

Another Tinseltown celebrity who has visited the Wildcard Gym to observe the training routine is 'Dark Knight' star, Christian Bale. He mentioned in an interview that Pacquiao was one league of his own, and 'tough as nails.'

Then you have ex heavyweight champ Iron Mike Tyson who also showed up unexpectedly at the gym to watch and offer support to the Pacman prior to his mega-bout with 'Golden Boy' Oscar Dela Hoya. Tyson was enthusiastic over Pacquiao's chances over the opponent.

The Boston Celtics players. After the Destroyer's KO victory over David Diaz in 2008 for the lightweight crown, Kevin Garnett and co players graced the momentous event and even had their phtotos taken with the champ. Both Kevin and Pacquiao seemed star-struck and admitted they admired one another.

Denzel Washington. Hollywood sensation Denzel once gave the Pacman a hug prior to a fight and wished for him to stay strong and clean and 'keep fighting and winning.'

Believe me, this list could take forever. But despite the undeniable fame and mammoth success, Pacquiao's feet remain firmly planted on earth.

Now that's a true celebrity.
