Randy and wife Evi Quaid spent their brief stint in the slammer, for a prehistoric list of unpaid hotel bills.

Now that's some charitable hotel.

Anyway, the couple have been accused of defrauding a hotel, to which unpaid bills amounting to $10,000, dated back to June 2009.

According to this case against them which has been ongoing since September, the couple had used an invalid credit card to defraud a Santa Barbara Hotel.

The pair had somehow secured a $100,000 bail and were ordered to return to court on Wednesday by Santa Barbara authorities, in California. Their lawyer had stated that the outstanding hotel bill has been settled to avoid trial.

Quaid, who happens to be the older sibling of Dennis, had appearances in National Lampoon's Vacation, Independence Day, and The Last Detail. He also won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of President Lyndon Johnson in 1980s TV movie LBJ: The Early Years.

Again, that Hotel must've had some special promo after all this time.

Update: News sources are reporting that the couple has been released from a California jail after each posted bail of $100,000.
