We'll skip this season's lacklustre contestants and Ellen DeGeneres trying to find her rhythm for now. It's Ryan Seacrest who's in the hot seat.

From Mr. nice guy, unbiased moderator who keeps the show rolling efficiently, 'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest seems to have shed off his old image, evolving into something unimaginable, and quite offensive at times.

He ain't big and green, but he's angry, now picking fights with 'judge dredd' Simon Cowell and giving the contestants a sense of discomfort, a far cry from being their 'safety' and source of strength.

As one message-board nails it, Seacrest is 'an arrogant, overconfident, jerk.'

It's all downhill for the host, as only a couple of weeks ago, Seacrest stepped off the stage and leaned on the judges desk, giving Cowell the killer stare asking for a clarification on his critique of Big Mike Lynche. Cowell was visibly upset over the behaviour and repeatedly begged Seacrest to get back on stage.

These confrontations is getting out of control and quite unnecessary. The crowd wants the old Ryan Seacrest back!
