Is Ellen just being downright generous? Or are we seeing another Oprah in this year's Emmys?

Quotes the popular host in her website today in reference to her name not being on the list of Daytime Emmy nominations, "I didn't submit myself for the 'Best Talk Show Host' Emmy this year. I feel my steroid use gives me an unfair advantage."

I'm not sure about that steroid use. Last year, Ellen was outclassed by the gals of 'The View' in bagging the Daytime Emmy award for best host.

Prior to that ego-stinging experience, Ellen had triumphed for four consecutive years with the host award. Now she's clearing her path for other contenders to win? Sounds like candy coated baloney. Or better yet, a replica of an ace manoeuvre from the queen of talk herself, Oprah Winfrey.

For the records, Oprah had withdrawed from the Daytime Emmys race for talk show host in 1999, but was victorious the previous year although in a tie with Rosie O'Donnell. She had lost twice in a row, (1998, 1999) to tough contender Rosey.

So it really doesn't take an Einstein to figure out that Ellen and Oprah are privately nursing their inner wounds, (and those kinds does hurt bigtime) so why go through the intense torture chamber again when you could take the easy way out? Hmmm.. their favorite color must be yellow. Ahem!

In any given situation, it's better to face the music. And don't give me that 'it's-easy- for-you-to-say' look.
