Patrick Dempsey is going from 'McDreamy' to the big 'Screeny.' Need to work on that rhyme. But yes, he's definitely onboard the big and loud 'Transformers 3.'

The third installment of the popular franchise about giant alien robots kicking each other's metallic behinds, marks the return of Shia LaBeouf and sexy starlet Megan Fox, plus a new guy on board, Patrick 'Mcdreamy' Dempsey.

According to a rep of Paramount Pictures, Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek Sheperd on 'Grey's Anatomy,' will be tasked in playing the boss of Mikeala Banes, as portrayed by Megan.

Besides Dempsey, star Ken Jeong from 'Hangover' fame is also handpicked to be part of the action packed flick.

'Transformers 3' is set to commence filming later this month and is expected to make its global debut on summer 2011.

Filming will take place in countries such as Africa, Russia, China and the U.S.

Dempsey, who rose to fame in teen flicks of the 80's will add more depth to the film, as his character is said to be very essential to the story.
