Gemma Arterton's not your ordinary Brit-girl-next door. What she pulled off in 'Prince of Persia' isn't exactly what you see everyday in the comfort zones of drama roles.

Precisely. The 24-year-old actress always imagined herself doing period costume dramas in the British sense, or gritty kichen sink dramas. She never thought she would end up as one of Hollywood's action heoines, having performed death-defying stunts in 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time'.

"Hollywood movies are quite hard to get into when you don't live in the States and you're just a British nobody," Atrerton says.

No longer, cupcake. The actress became known on the big screen when she made her debut in the James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace two years ago. Then just recently, she appeared in the big budget fantasy remake, 'Clash of the Titans.'

Yet it was all the stage fighting and stunt work she did at London's Royal academy that would prepare her for the rough physical demands 'Prince' has to offer.

She and co-star Jake Gyllenhaal instantly clicked during filming of their several stunt sequences, as well as working out with personal trainers to be able to convincingly play the part of action heroes.

Arterton was even amazed at the way the muscle has toned on her curvy frame. She adnitted that she was cool with the softer, more feminine look and that she only bared the required physique for the film character.

Yeah, don't you just admire those chicks who's into all that extreme activity. Right, Doc Zoe?

Hobbit Director Finally Calls It Quits!

Critically acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro calls it quits on the 'Hobbit' project after several delays and conflicting schedules.

Del Toro, who was assigned the task of directing two movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, has eventually jumped ship after two years on ther project, due to countless hassles.

In a statement on 'Lord of the Rings' fansite TheOneRing.net, the filmmaker says, "After nearly two years of living, breathing and designing a world as rich as Tolkien's Middle Earth, I must, with great regret, take leave from helming these wonderful pictures."

Del Toro, however, expressed his interest in continuing to co-write the screenplays with 'Lord of the Rings' director Peter Jackson, Phillippa Boyens and Fran Walsh.

It was due to a questionable financial future of movie studio MGM, that lead to the filmmaker's woes. Producers were hoping for things to push through this summer with production but came to a halt.

MGM, otherwise known as Metro-Goldwyn-Myer Inc, is heavily burdened with a whopping 3.7 billion debt, has yet to come up with interested buyers of the company and is also considering other options for its already bleak future.

The director, popular with such film credits as "Hellboy" and "Pan's Labyrinth" has initially moved to New Zealand with wife and children for the filming of the movie, which has targetted a 2012 release date. But everything's changed.

Del Toro on a quite lighter note, wishes the production nothing but the very best of luck.

Hope everything goes well for the film. I've admired the Lord of the Rings franchise and would love to see this project take flight.
