Amy Adams To Star In Janis Joplin Biopic!

Wasn't it just a few years ago that Zooey Deschanel had beaten out Scarlett Johansson, Britney Spears, Pink, Vanessa Hudgens and Lindsay Lohan for the role of Janis Joplin in a biopic? And yet here we have Amy Adams now bagging the role.

Amy Adams has apparently signed up to play the late rocker chick in a new movie based on her turbulent life. According to 'Twilight Saga' producer Wyck Godfrey, his business partner Marty Bowen is preparing to work with the 'Doubt' starlet on the new movie to be directed by City of God director Fernando Mierelles.


Joplin was just 27 years old when she died of a heroin overdose in 1970.
