Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt prove that they're "powerful", or maybe, News Of The World is just so wrong to post a false and misleading article claiming that the Pitt and Jolie are planning to split.According to AOL's Popeater, Brad and Angie triumphed in British court Thursday. The Hollywood powerhouse couple began legal action against the News of the World after it reported in January that they had agreed to separate.
Brad and Angelina's attorney said: "When the News of the World failed to publicly retract the allegations and apologize for them -- thereby leaving their readers in the dark as to the true position -- the couple felt they had no alternative than to sue. Today's victory marks the end of the litigation brought by Brad and Angelina."
NOTW confirmed that a settlement had been reached, but declined to comment further. The settlement, well, the tabloid will publish an apology on their pages, I think that includes their official website. Plus, the tabloid must pay Jolie and Pitt a settlement.
Brad and Angie decided to donate the settlement money to charity.
Meanwhile, the couple recently attended the premiere of 'Salt' in Los Angeles, California, where Jolie plays the role of an agent accused of being a Russian spy.
